Finding ways to resolve conflict and help
one another
Creating meaningful change in relationships

Diana Goldin MA, BSc (Hons), PGDip, PGCert
As a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist, I work with family groups, couples, individuals and anyone in a close relationship to find ways to help each other, to become unstuck and to create change when experiencing difficulties in these important relationships.
Registered and accredited with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapists (UKCP), and The Association of Family Therapists (AFT).
My aim is to collaborate, and to understand the patterns and problems at play within relationships in order to be able to resolve conflict, and develop those relationships for the better.
I am qualified as both an Occupational Therapist and a Family & Systemic Psychotherapist, with 30 years of experience across the NHS and the private sector, in the areas of Paediatric neurodevelopment, mental health (including eating disorders), developmental trauma, parent work and high conflict relationships, including pre and post-divorce or separation involving children.

Diana's calm, intelligent and grounded approach made me feel understood right from the start. Our sessions have helped me build my confidence and led to many 'aha' moments - times when she intuitively picked up on something deeper, more nuanced, that I had not fully realised myself. Every session left me with something meaningful to reflect on or apply - there was real value in every conversation we had. I am incredibly grateful for her presence and guidance and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Diana has been an incredible support to our family. With empathy and patience, her insights and way of working have helped us better understand our children and their behavioural challenges as well as our approach as parents. She has given us practical tools that have supported us to work together to make long lasting changes that have brought more peace into our home and significantly improved our family dynamic. We’re communicating better, feeling more connected, and are so grateful for the positive change she helped us create.

After the decision to divorce, our family was in emotional turmoil. Diana created a neutral space where we could process our feelings, communicate respectfully and work through our differences, ensuring our kids felt secure and loved despite the changes. We are grateful for the compassionate and practical guidance given by Diana and would highly recommend her for any family going through a difficult time.

Working with Diana has been an incredibly positive experience. She creates an atmosphere of comfort and openness, making it easy to share and discuss personal challenges. Her non-judgmental approach and dedicated time ensure that I always feel heard and valued. The sound advice she offers has been instrumental in my personal growth. I highly recommend her as a compassionate and insightful family therapist

My particular area of experience and expertise is in and about the complexity and challenges of parenting.
I have a great deal of experience related to navigating diagnosis in the NHS and Private sectors in contexts of neurodiversity, young child and adolescent developmental challenges or illness, developmental trauma, and parenting in contexts of divorce and separation. Having spent 30 years across NHS contexts where my final post was as the Lead Family Therapist within a specialist neurodevelopment service my clinical practice is now predominantly private practice based.
My private practice is based in North and Central London. I offer face-to-face and online appointments.
I am regularly invited to speak on panels as a professional expert, discussing topics such as parenting, mental health, young people and screen use. I am a visiting lecturer at the Tavistock and Portman NHS trust, which is where I trained. From 2019 to date and ongoing I teach systemic work discussion modules on the clinical doctorate qualifying course for Educational Psychologists.
I have recently completed 6 years as a school governor responsible for safeguarding and SEN, for a hospital school rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.
As a parent myself, a school advisor, and a parenting and mental health professional, I believe in a straightforward approach, prioritising relationship connections using curiosity and compassion. I have a clear, warm and direct approach which is intended to be transparent, and to help communication be at its best in order for the work to achieve our joint goals.

Working with emotional difficulties and challenges can be hard.
Sometimes people and their relationships can feel worse before they begin to feel better. I will work with you to support any strong responses. Whilst I don’t provide a crisis response, I do collaborate with professional colleagues where possible to provide a supportive network if needed. Together we can work to overcome whatever challenges we face.
